Q. What is the Alumni Association?
A. The Eckerd College Alumni Association (ECAA) is the organization of alumni at Eckerd College. It is comprised of all students who have a degree from the College or who attended the College for two consecutive semesters and are no longer seeking a degree. The ECAA was formed by the first class (1964) to provide a way for alumni to stay in touch with their alma mater and each other.
Q. How do I join the Alumni Association?
A. Once you receive your degree you are automatically a member of the ECAA.

Q. Why should I become a registered member of the online community?
A. Only by becoming a registered member can you search for friends, blog with other alumni and receive the most up to date information about the Alumni Association including upcoming events and news.
Q. Who is on the Alumni Board and what do they do?

A. Once you become a registered member of the alumni website, you may search the member database by visiting the
“Find a Classmate” page.
Q. How can I find other alumni and alumni events in my area?
A. All upcoming alumni events are posted to our online calendar accessible through the
“Events” tab. You may also contact the Alumni Office at any time to inquire about events in your area at
727.864.8875.
Q. When and where is the next Alumni Weekend?
A. You will find information about this year's Alumni Weekend on our “Calendar” page.
Q. How do I nominate someone for an alumni award?
A. You may submit nominations online by visiting the “Alumni Awards Nomination” page under the “Classmates and Friends” tab on the alumni website homepage.
Q. What is the difference between “chapters” and “affinity groups”?
A. Chapters and affinity groups are governed by the bylaws of the ECAA and report to the Alumni Board of Directors. Chapters are typically organized by geographic locations (e.g., Atlanta, Boston, Colorado Rockies, etc.) and affinity groups are organized by interest (Friends of the Waterfront, Rainbow Affinity Group, etc.). Both chapters and affinity groups serve the purpose of keeping alumni connected with each other and the College.
Q. How can I start a new chapter or affinity group?

A. Unfortunately, we do not have yearbooks for every year. If you would like a yearbook please contact us at 727.864.8875 to find out if we have one for your year. If so, we will gladly send it to you.
Q. What are blogs all about?
A. Blogs are a way for you to communicate with a large group of alumni at one time. You can update your entire class, share announcements, reminisce about your days at the College, etc.
Q. Can my online profile be seen by everyone?
A. Your profile can only be seen by registered members of the alumni website. Online membership is restricted to alumni of the College, faculty and staff.
Q. Is my personal information secure on the website?
A. You can control what personal information is seen by other members of the website when you create your profile. Under no circumstances with Eckerd College or the Alumni Association sell your information to a third party or give your information to another alumnus or alumna without your permission.
Q. Will you sell my name and information to telemarketers?
A. No.
Q. Where do I send my personal news (marriages, births, jobs, moves, etc.) for the alumni newsletter and monthly updates?

A. The Eckerd College Career Resource Center assists alumni with job searches. Please visit their website by
